Welcome to The Plough at Plumpton.
The Plough is a wonderful country pub nestled in the Sussex countryside not far from The South Downs.
The perfect spot for an open air lunch in the Summer with the kids or a warming drink in front of the log fire when the weather isn't so kind.
Located at the North end of Plumpton, we are one of Harvey's most rural establishments, surrounded by fields yet still within a few minutes of Plumpton station and great walking and cycling routes. There's even a bus stop right outside.
We have a large garden with a children's play area and you can keep an eye on the little ones from the shaded patio. Back inside you'll find a light and comfortable restaurant and a public bar with bar billiards and a TV.
We are also lucky enough to have a huge field which is available for special events such as parties and weddings and when it's not being used for functions, you can camp there.
We have an extensive menu which changes weekly as well as a daily specials board. You will find a small selection from our menu on the right and you can see our full menu here and even book a table online.
Of course, we serve a wide range of beers, wines and spirits, but being a Harveys establishment you will also find a beatifully kept pint of Harveys Sussex Best Bitter as well as all Harveys seasonal favourites such as Georgian Dragon, Olympia and Knots in May Mild.
The Plough has a fascinating history, with close links to the brave airmen who flew their Spitfires from nearby RAF Chailey. We have a memorial in their honour in our grounds.
We look forward to welcoming you soon.
